D.O.C. Cincinnati’s home for
Steel Tip Darts on
Tuesday night

WEEK 14 STANDINGS HAVE BEEN POSTED – NOT Final Standings as a few reschedules need to be played.

We have also added two new award “plaque” shots –
9 DART 301 (for the Chicago match), and a cricket award for two triples and a double bull – all darts must count for score.

Note – on the schedules the cricket award added is for 2 triples and a DOUBLE BULL – and all darts must count for score – not what is listed on back of sheet. The downloadable sheet has been corrected.

what & Why

    • Tuesday Night Steel Tip Dart League
    • Tuesday nights used to be a popular night for league play. The darting community has voiced interest in having another night of steel tip darts.
      •

new format

  • A lot of the area darters feel the traditional league format is lasting too late, so we feel we may have an answer –
  •
  • Shorter night format. Similar to soft tip format this will be all single games per match. Teams will be comprised of 3 people.

How it works

  • Teams will be comprised of THREE players, and possibly a 4th
  • Each player is assigned a player number for the night and may only play in that “spot” and if the 4th person option is used then that player can only be subbed in in certain matches. This way a 4th player may not only play all singles matches.
  •
  • As you will see you will need two boards – this way the doubles match and singles match can be played at the same time – again shortening the night while still getting a fair amount of games in.

our mission

To promote the sport of darts in the Cincinnati area. To explore alternative options to the traditional “league” play and league set-ups, and to possibly come up with innovative ideas.

To explore the idea of implementing some options to multi-level tournaments to the Cincinnati area in conjunction and cooperation with the other already established leagues and organizations in the area.

To establish and be the home of The Cincinnati Steel Tip Darters Hall of Honor.

I know that Hall of Honor (fame) idea has been talked about for years. It was bestowed on me way back when and it seems it was always talked about when a “significant” darter in our community passed. There were others who said they would do this and yet it has not happened. Well now I guess the time has come for me to get off my butt and make it happen.

Hopefully in the next few week we will have a better idea on the structure and formats of items mentioned above.

We will be posting on social media as well as getting the word out about this long overdue idea. As this is a start-up which me and a few others already on board are taking on. I am funding the initial expenses to get the ball rolling. However, as this hopefully grows, we will need some funding to keep it going. We will possibly look into options such as a “go fund me” page or similar options….
